Speculative Digital/Social Pitch Blog Post




Task 1: 

Tannahill Reay is a visual communications company based in Greater Manchester with 30 years experience in graphic design, print, exhibition & display and signage through to 3D modelling, CGI, visualization, animation. Previous work includes blue chip companies such as Whitbread, Costa, Shell, Sellafield Limited, Atkins Global, Arcadis and Better Bathrooms.

Task 2:




The reasons and justifications why PSO1 has been chosen for selection is because the client wishes their target market to be within the retail sector. Our client feels the best way to do that is through offering services that come under 3D modelling, new media and specialist services.

Linked In, Facebook and Twitter are the channels that will be used to expose the services the company can offer. LinkedIn is a B2B platform for networking professionally  with 10,000,000 UK users, because it’s a media outlet used by professionals, this will be useful when connecting with potential clients.

 Facebook, is the number one social networking site used with 32,000,000 UK users, while Twitter is the third with 15,000,000 UK users; 50% of which visit the website of small or medium businesses they follow. (Social Media, 2016)

Task 3:

The first digital and social media marketing communication objective is to gain at least 150 likes/follows on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn within two weeks. 'Many companies, even major marketing and advertising agencies, use objectives numbers like Facebook likes or Twitter followers to measure a campaigns health or success' (DeMers, 2014). The risk is gaining the initial interest in the company and in-turn those people professing to engage. However, showcasing the company’s existing projects in an exciting way will spark interest and entice potential followers. 

The second objective is to engage alongside similar industries through social media to create industry links. The risk is the difficulty gaining any links, resulting in a lack of company presence, however, by engaging with similar companies and industries by tagging/linking any relevant posts or events, it will help broaden then presence and profile.
